Market Research Case Study -Business Junction (Business Network)

Our client wanted to undertake market research to understand what was really going on in the London Economy and how it was affecting businesses and their members.

The market research brief was to deliver a "simple" survey to understand what London Businesses were feeling and experiencing in a time of recession and tough trading conditions.

The population....a database of over 25,000 London businesses.

We sat down with Mark Herring, one of the Directors of Business Junction and gave our input.

In less than 2 weeks we were ready to go with a survey that would understand how businesses were coping and asked questions relating to sales, growth, profit, staff and the wider context of how the Mayor's Office, the Labour Government and the London Development Agency (LDA) were helping or failing businesses throughout London.

We summarised the results based on a number of filters (size, location and industry), pulled out the key issues and headline grabbing statistics and let Mark do the rest and push the results into the media.

Mark Herring said,

"The reporting of the results saved us time.  Unlike many market research agencies, they took the time and effort to pull out a range of key data, offering us and the survey readers many filtering options which increased the newsworthiness of the survey.

Clarity’s professionalism and ability to understand our media needs meant they turned around the data analysis quickly, accurately and in a readable format. This, in turn, meant we could  release the market research results at the best moment to capture the interest of the press."
